The use of bulbs requiring wattage higher than 4W will cause it to overheat & slowly cease to function. Other bulb type factors regarding AC/DC, polarity, etc. must be considered; if slightly off you'll find that only one bulb will illuminate.

This simply isn't true. The short version of a long story is that it's much easier and lucrative for whomever told you this if you just buy a new machine. (Maybe trade your old one in, too, so it can be cannibalized for its valuable parts.) Sound familiar?
Unfortunately, this is the cold hard truth about what's happening and why it's so commonplace. It also goes against everything I stand for, not just ethically speaking, but the core principle of what my company is based upon: that they don't make machines like they used to and the ones that still exist need to be kept alive whenever possible -- hence the name: SaveOurSewing Machines.
After purchasing this service you will need to send me your machine. I have detailed instructions to guide you through the proper packing procedure, ensuring the machine arrives without shipping damage. It will need to be insured for the value of a used replacement of the same model. (When I send it back it will be insured for the FULL VALUE of a completely functional, refurbished machine.)
Your machine will need to stay with me for approximately two weeks. The finished item will be shipped to you NEXT DAY, upon its completion.
In addition to repairing the board, your machine will be fully-serviced and once again be performing as if it were new. By going through the entire machine and addressing any other issues I may find, it allows me to guarantee my work, for your peace of mind.
Not every machine sent to me will be repairable. Occasionally, one will come along which is just too far gone, for whatever reason. In this case, I will discuss your other options with you.
